Wauconda Pharmacy is an independent pharmacy located in northern Illinois. We offer custom compounded medications that are formulated to fit your individual needs. In addition, we can supply home IV therapy and durable medical equipment.
Wauconda Pharmacy has been a local family-owned business for over 100 years. Charles F. Buschick purchased the pharmacy from Charlie Haller in the 1930s and then sold it to Bill Lacey in the 1950s. Lacey owned it until the 1970s when he sold it to Ed Bruner. After 30 years, his son Terry took over the business and still owns it today. The pharmacy has gone back to working as a more traditional pharmacy by compounding prescriptions (using custom drug formulations to better meet a patient’s needs).
In 2005, Wauconda Pharmacy built a state-of-the-art compounding lab and a sterile I.V. lab which now represents 1/4 of our business. We are fully accredited by the Healthcare Quality Association on Accreditation (HQAA) and service almost all of northern Illinois.
The pharmacy’s mission is to meet the home healthcare needs of our patients by providing the highest quality service, medical equipment, and medications. We value our patients as being more important than ourselves, seeking to serve them in the same way Jesus Christ served others during his earthly ministry. We hold him up as our example of what service should be. Therefore, we are wholeheartedly dedicated to providing responsive, timely, and enthusiastic service.
As of 2012 Wauconda Pharmacy would like to introduce their drug club. A program that could help you get a 90 day supply of certain medications for the very low cost of $10.95. For any questions, please contact us via phone or stop by and speak with a pharmacist.
